Women’s Fall Retreat 2017

October 20-22, 2017

Lindenwood Retreat and Conference Center
Plymouth, Indiana

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Matthew 11:28
Registration is closed for the 2017 retreat.  We hope that you can join us next year.

We live in a world of “hurry sickness”—that feeling that there are not enough hours in the day…that we must work faster and harder to get things done. We live under the constant pressure to push to do more, make more, be more. Such a world and way of life leads to exhaustion, anxiety, frustration, guilt, and resentfulness.

It is in this world that God invites us topress pause.  We will explore together the God-created rhythms of work and rest and be reminded that “stopping our work” is a way of remembering we are loved by God apart from what we do. Learn to embrace the understanding that Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath and that the Sabbath was made for his people—it’s a gift to be unwrapped
! After this retreat, you will leave feeling freed to stop, rest, delight, worship, and trust in the Lord through times of Sabbath.

A couple of things to consider…

1. Financial scholarships are available. Do not let finances keep you away from this valuable time away with the Lord. Email Julie Friegang at juliefreigang@gmail.com for help.

2. If you need a single room, please make note of that on your registration. We only have a few rooms, so they will be limited to individuals with special circumstances.

3. If you have children and would like to get away, contact Julie Freigang for information on childcare options in Fort Wayne through the church. We would really love to have you attend the retreat.
