This summer our high school youth will be going to Greeley, Colorado, to serve people in need by doing light house repair projects. This is an awesome opportunity for youth to grow in skills, knowledge, empathy and faith.

Youth will connect to others in Christ and in a caring community.
• Youth will be in God’s Word daily and will worship God with others.
• Youth will bless the residents that they work with in Greeley through their work, their encouragement, and their prayers.

WHERE WE’LL SERVE
You can actually see the snow-capped peaks of the Rocky Mountains from Greeley—they are only a short drive away! Today, Greeley is a modern, bustling city, home to University of Northern Colorado and lots of clean, environment-friendly industry.
You’ll stretch out each night in a clean, new, thoroughly air-conditioned school. The building is bright and airy with large windows in the cafeteria that let in plenty of light.

HOW WE’LL SERVE

Today, Greeley is a community in transition. A growing immigrant community (both Latino and East African) is bringing new culture and traditions with them. But, the economic issues are still present. Some have good jobs and lives, while others struggle in the back streets behind the restaurants and well-stocked stores.
We will help these residents by doing repairs on their homes that they cannot do– painting, building wheelchair ramps and fixing saggy porches. We will also partner with community and religious leaders to help bring needed home repairs as part of their ongoing work.
